The Federal Government Shortens Open Enrollment Period

For those enrolled in the Health Insurance Marketplace or Exchange programs now may be the time to think about open enrollment for 2018. Open enrollment is when you can enroll in or make changes to a health plan. This year the open enrollment period has been shortened and scheduled for just 45 days: from November 1, 2017 to December 15, 2017. However, some states such as California and New York are offering longer enrollment periods.
