Thank You To Our Patients

Hand to Shoulder Center of Wisconsin and Woodland Surgery Center’s physicians and staff would like to thank you for your support throughout 2020. We could not have made it through this tough year without you. In the beginning of 2020, we had a busy schedule and our two new surgeons to start in March. We hoped to bring in more new patients and extend our reach. While preparing for the new physicians, we also planned for the possibility of Covid-19 coming into our facility.  We could not have prepared enough for what last spring brought to us. Our facilities cancelled surgeries and visits, then slowly moved to emergent cases and virtual check ups. We navigated our way to opening the clinic and surgeries back up to partial capacity, then ramped up our case load to it’s full capacity while still taking precautions. We took 2020 day by day, because that is all anyone could do.

We are one month in to 2021, and in that time we reflected what positives 2020 has brought us. First, our new appreciation of taking care of our patients. We missed seeing patients excited about the progress they made and continue to work toward. Our vision at our facilities is to strive to achieve the best clinical outcomes so our patients can live life to their greatest potential. If we have no patients, we do not come close to our goals. Thank you for sticking with us because we truly appreciate the company. Next, we discovered along with many other businesses how to see our patients or meet with teams virtually. There were a few bumps along the way, but by now we could call ourselves pros. When we went back to seeing patients in person, we decided to expand our hours to make sure there was enough time to properly disinfect with little to no wait time in our lobby for the next patient. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursday we are open by appointment until seven, so we can see our patients in a timely matter.

Another positive we implemented in 2020 was contactless check in. We now have iPads set up for patients to check themselves in. Our front desk staff is still there to help and check in new patients. Something the public may not have noticed is that we hired many new wonderful people. We thank our patients for giving us the ability to hire so many in 2020. Although, we may have had to take a step back, behind the scenes we were preparing for our nine physicians to start back up and to head into our busy seasons.

There are so many more positives in 2020 we could go on about, but we will hold those for another time.  We would like to thank our patients one more time for the continuous support you gave and still do as we navigated our way through these times. In 2021, the staff at Hand to Shoulder Center of Wisconsin and Woodland Surgery Center want to focus on our mission statement. “We will collaborate as a team to provide exceptional care to our patients and excellent service to our internal and external customers, and will positively motivate each other toward continuous improvement.” Check back in with us to see how we will complete our 2021 goals!
