Celebrating Hand Therapy Week!

Hand Therapy Week is an integrated national program established by the American Society of Hand Therapists ™ (ASHT) to raise awareness of the advanced specialty training and skills hand therapists provide in treating issues of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. Hand therapy practitioners focus on helping patients to perform everyday activities to their highest potential.

With today’s fast-pace lifestyles, it’s essential to keep your hands and arms healthy. The hand therapists at Hand to Shoulder Center are providing helpful information to curb upper extremity muscle fatigue and tips on preventing repetitive strain injury. They provided information on the top 5 common hand injuries and preventative and rehabilitation awareness information.

All twenty therapists at Hand to Shoulder Center of Wisconsin participated in this week-long program, emphasizing the difference certified and specialized hand therapists make between success and failure in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation.
