Stephanie M. Knapp, PA-C, MPAS, works diligently to deliver the best care to our patients. Her patient care responsibilities at Hand to Shoulder Center of Wisconsin are comprehensive. She serves as Dr. Lumsden’s first orthopedic surgical assistant in the operating room both for elective cases and for emergencies, including microsurgical cases. She assists in preparing patients for surgery, as well as throughout the procedure and in postoperative bandaging and care. She performs comprehensive patient evaluations in the office and hospital, including patient history and physical examinations, ordering appropriate diagnostic testing and more. She evaluates and makes diagnoses and forms treatment plans for a variety of hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder conditions, including patient counseling, prescription of therapy services, and medications. She also performs procedures not limited to injections, anesthetic blocks, suturing of lacerations and incisions, application of casts and bandages while under the supervision of orthopedic specialist Dr. Boyd Lumsden.
Stephanie M. Knapp is a 2012 graduate from Marquette University. She was the valedictorian of her class in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), and is a member of the following professional organizations:
