
Stephanie M. Knapp, PA-C, MPAS
Stephanie M. Knapp joined Hand to Shoulder in 2012 and brings extensive training and experience in upper extremity orthopedics. She is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and serves as Dr. Lumsden’s first surgical assistant in the operating room for both elective and emergency procedures.
In the clinic, Stephanie works closely with Dr. Lumsden to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients. She also provides comprehensive post-operative care, ensuring patients receive attentive follow-up throughout their recovery. Her clinical expertise includes performing injections and ordering and interpreting imaging studies such as X-rays and MRIs.
Stephanie has a special interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound and has completed multiple advanced training courses in this field. She uses ultrasound for both diagnostic evaluations and ultrasound-guided injections to improve accuracy and patient outcomes. She believes each patient is unique and is dedicated to educating individuals about their conditions while guiding them toward the treatment options that best align with their goals.
Stephanie earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Marquette University in 2012, where she graduated as valedictorian of her class. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is an Affiliated Member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She leads an active lifestyle and enjoys hiking, running, biking, and boating. She is passionate about physical fitness, nutrition, and traveling with her family to explore new places and experiences.
