“Warm Hands From Warm Hearts”
Whether we are ready or not the cold weather has settled in. Soon enough we will begin to see the trees bare and snow begin to fall. With those indications, it is time to pull out those coats, mittens, gloves, hats, and scarves for any outside activities. Our community needs your help to make sure everyone is prepared for the cold months. In October 15th, we will start our “Warm Hands From Warm Hearts” campaign. We are collecting mittens and gloves to help those in need.
The Hand to Shoulder Center of Wisconsin and Woodland Surgery Center employees need your help in collecting items for the Salvation Army Coat Drive.
We are collecting sewn, knitted, new, or gently used mittens and gloves to help our community. Did you pick up a new hobby of knitting or sewing during quarantine? We accept any sewn or knitted items. Are you picking up a few pairs for your family at the store? Consider picking up an extra pair to donate. Has your child already outgrown the pair you bought on sale at the end of last season? We will happily take those off of your hands. However you receive your gloves and mittens, think about donating a pair to help someone in your community. Hats and scarves are also being accepted.
We will be collecting until mid-December. Any items for donation can be dropped off in our basket at the Hand to Shoulder Clinic entrance (2323 North Casaloma Drive, Appleton, WI) during our open hours. Our hours are Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm. We are thankful for any donations we receive to help those in our community.
Stay safe and stay warm this winter from your friends at the Hand to Shoulder Center and Woodland Surgery Center!
